This meant that while she slept, she would have to rely on a machine to perform her kidneys functions, removing wastes from her blood. One modal value this affected my family was by limiting how far and how oftentimes w e could travel, since the dialysis equipment wasnt easily portable. Furthermore, because of her kidney issues, fatigue hit my mom more rapidly. For example, when she vacuumed or mopped the floors, she would often have to pause to lie lot and rest.
